Law Enforcement

Do you possess the character traits of being calm under pressure, honest, highly ethical, excellent communicator, and love to help people? Then Law Enforcement could be in your future. Law Enforcement training comprises three types:

  • Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET)
  • In-Service Training
  • Corrections and Detention Training

Fire Protection

Careers in firefighting are highly respected careers because firefighters demonstrate bravery and sacrifice in their jobs. Firefighters are often the first-responders to fires and life threathening emergencies. Their job requires a great deal of teamwork and organizational skills. Fire Service Training is delivered directly to local fire departments, allowing personnel to learn with the actual equipment they will use in controlling fires.

Emergency Medical Services

During medical emergencies, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) professionals provide life saving medical procedures and transport sick and injured people to the hospital. They are trained to respond to accidents or emergencies and help save lives. EMS training places an emphasis on emergency patient care in pre-clinical settings and health education courses for those interested in healthcare and related institutions or retraining.

About Us

The Protect and Serve Inc. of North Carolina is a 501 (c) (3) organization that was formed to provide educational assistance to current public safety professional and aspiring socially economic disadvantaged individuals seeking a career in Law Enforcement, Fire Protection and the Emergency Medical Services. The Foundation was founded by one retired and two current Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Public Safety Directors who saw a economic need from former and current students pursuing a career in one of the chosen public safety fields. As a result, in 2015, they held their first fundraising initiative called the Dr. Lili K. Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament to raise funds to help economic disadvantaged students enrolled in the College. All funds raised were donated to the CPCC Foundation to be awarded for scholarships to public safety students who showed a financial need.
